Some visual notes on displacement is a series of video installations which explores the distanciative effects of the projected image off-screen. Figures are taken out of their filmic contexts and displaced to a real space, which may or may not recall the original cinematic environment. Stripping the cinematic confines, the visitor to any given installation is confronted with the filmic figure in his/her own space. Some visual notes on displacement was first performed weekly in 2005 over the course of six months for an event in Rome, Italy.
